Responsiblities: The Communication Coordinator develops and implements employee communications program, develops and implements communication strategies – and deliverables – for various corporate policies, initiatives and events. This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic communications professional looking to make a difference in employee communication.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Develops and implements TransLink’s employee communications program by researching employee communication needs, and recommending and implementing new employee communications opportunities and programs. Researches material, writes, edits and manages production of employee communication material.
• Develops and implements communication strategies for various Corporate policies, initiatives and events.
• Sets communication objectives and makes recommendations for improvements to communications strategies, including the use of online and social media tools to engage employees.
• Responsible for quarterly enterprise-wide all employee meetings, communicating about TransLink’s Compass card and faregate project to employees, TransLink’s Lunch and Learn program, a weekly information round-up, people news and more.
Qualifications: A Degree in communications, journalism or related discipline. Requires three years of experience in a large public corporation in corporate communications including internal communications or in the public relations field including speech writing, development of communication strategies and the composition of articles for magazines or newspapers.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
