Y57 Presents the 4th Annual Battle of the Bands 2012!

Y57 Media is proud to announce the 4th Annual Battle of the Bands, taking place on Thursday, August 30th 2012 at the Rio Theatre!

Every year, Y57′s Annual Battle of the Bands has showcased outstanding artists among the young musicians in Lower Mainland. Every year, hundreds of music-loving attendees from all across Lower Mainland, as well as a panel of professionals from the music industry attend. Together, they determine the next winner of Y57′s Battle of the Bands.

What can you win as the winner of Y57′s Battle of the Bands? Here is this year’s winning prize list:

A full day of studio time with Fader Master Sound Studios (valued at $728)
A performance at the Richmond Night Market on September 2nd, 2012
One Y57 show devoted to the band that includes a live on-air interview with members and live performance segments dispersed throughout 57 minutes of broadcastÂ time on Vancouverâ€™s Co-op Radio Â 102.7fm
A feature article and photoshoot from themodline.com that includes a photographÂ spread, interview resulting in a 150-200 word article
Hair and make up services for the modline photo shoot from the London School ofÂ Hair

Last year, it was Jasper Sloan Yip whose captivating performance received first place. Jasper and his band have toured Western Canada in the past year and are preparing for a cross-Canada tour this year. They will be appearing as one of the judges at this year’s Battle of the Bands, as well as a guest performer. Check out a video made by MyLoudSpeaker of last year’s Battle of the Bands here:
