Each Y57 radio show program involves a youth of the month candidate, a news piece and a band interview. The individual chosen for the youth of the month interview talks about his or her recent achievements regarding an organization he or she has started or participated in and that has developed or contributed to an important youth initiative. The news piece involves profiling or covering an event, organization or local issue that is youth oriented and, finally, each show a musical artist or group is interviewed while having several of their compositions played on-air.
