TESTIMONIALS

Y57 has been an absolutely incredible experience for me. It has given me invaluable radio and volunteer experience, and more importantly, it has connected me to some truly inspirational youth in my community, who am now proud to call friends. Emily Louise Chan

Even though I had considered myself to be very active in the community before I joined Y57, none of those experiences compared to working with the Y57 team. I learned a lot about what incredible power the Vancouver youth community has, and it has really made me appreciate and take pride in being a Vancouverite. Each show was an exciting challenge. The feeling of being on air and knowing your voice is being heard by so many youth out there just takes your breath away.  Rachel Ha

At Y57 I was able to practice what I was learning in the Radio program at BCIT not only in studio but behind the scenes when producing features. I enjoyed how I got to share what I learned with the team and give back to my community. Y57 has given me lots of team building and team work experience as well as radio on air and production experience. Amanda Panes

Y57 is a place to share amazing youth stories to a public who, in some instances, have become pessimistic with us millenials. The program has helped me to develop my broadcast journalism skills, like story production and interview skills, in addition to building relationships with like minded individuals who believe in the powerful influence of youth. I can truly say that Y57 has given me invaluable experience that has helped me get to where I want to be. Reena Gacad
