Meet the Y57 Team: Eunice Leung

Hey Eunice! Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Hello! I’m Eunice, and I am a Communications graduate from Simon Fraser University. Currently a Marketing Specialist, I’m hoping to rekindle my love with music and art while at Y57.

Why did you join Y57?

I’ve been on the show before, almost 10 years back when I was a pianist for a band that competed in Battle of the Bands. The experience was what started my whole interest in radio and when I saw the chance to join the team, there was no hesitation at all.

What do you currently do at Y57?

I’m currently handling behind-the-scenes details, such as artist outreach and team management, but I’m also an on-air co-host whenever I can.

What is your favourite part about being part of Y57?

I’ve met so many interesting people and being able to be part of the process that puts it all together has given me a new found respect for everyone who works in radio or any kind of live show.

What is your ultimate life goal?

Honestly, still figuring that out. Currently I just want to play video games and cuddle with my cats.

What are three things that you cannot live without?

Instant noodles and my 2 cats. But I could count my cats as one, then also my computer.

What is your biggest fear?

Being in the middle of the ocean with nothing around you. Ocean’s are wild.

Make a 5-song playlist of your favourite songs!

“Last Mistake” – Hey Ocean!

“Never Say No” – Robby Hunter Band

“Bennie and the Jets” – The Red One Rocketman

“South of the River” – Tom Misch

“Medusa in Chains (Japan Bonus Track)” – The Fratellis
